I’m a Trinidadian born Surrey based wife, stay at home mum, blogger and children’s book writer. I moved to England in 2001. In a previous life, (before children) I earned a BA in English from The University of The West Indies, Trinidad, in 1998. My career history has spanned from Library Technician to Administrative Assistant in Further Education.
The Tiger Tales is a Trinidadian-British parenting and lifestyle blog. I created the blog to chronicle the milestones in the life of my son, Angelo. He was born two weeks before my 38th birthday in 2010. He was born in the Year of the Tiger on the Chinese calendar. He’s of Chinese, Italian and Afro Caribbean descent. My daughter Valentina has the same racial heritage. She was born in 2012. These days I explore topics such: as parenting as an expat, family experiences as a mixed heritage family, fashion, food. The way to my heart is a Trini Chicken Dalpuri Roti. I’m passionate about living a full happy life, education, books, diversity in the media, beauty and toys industries.
Angelo and Valentina are very close. They love craft, storytime and all things Disney. As a family we enjoy outdoor adventure activities, and dining out. Hubby and I have the odd date night and it all works out to keep us a happy and connected family.
